Work hard, play hard! As a freshman, there are many opportunities and experiences for you, and do not miss out on them! It will be difficult to participate in multiple CCAs and committees in the later years of undergraduate studies, since the academic stress will be higher.
However, it is still important to consistently prepare yourself and stay on top of your academics! Unlike JC, Polytechnic & IB studies, University requires much more self-regulation and discipline, since there is a significantly higher level of flexibility and freedom. Do not leave everything to the last minute, and continuously work through your various modules to ensure that you know what is going on!
